Take the keys and go
Self drive is the simplest arrangement we offer: you hire the vehicle, you keep the keys, and you go where you like for as long as you have booked it. No driver, no schedule, no waiting for someone to come and collect you.
Our vehicle, our driver, your schedule
With chauffeur drive you get the vehicle and a driver who knows the roads. For most visitors this is the more sensible option: Malawian roads are shared with minibuses, cyclists and livestock, junctions are not always signposted, and driving after dark is genuinely demanding.
We are already inside the terminal
Our advantage on airport transfers is not a claim, it is a location: R&H have a staffed desk inside Chileka International Airport. You are not calling a number and waiting for a car to drive out from town — you walk up to a counter and speak to someone.
Point to point, on demand
Alongside the hire fleet, R&H run a straightforward Blantyre taxi service — a single journey from where you are to where you need to be, with no hire agreement and no deposit.
Collected from reception, not a rank down the road
Not every hire starts at the airport. If you are already staying somewhere in Blantyre or Limbe, we will collect you — or deliver the vehicle — at your hotel or lodge reception.
Everyone in one vehicle, or a convoy that arrives together
Moving a group is a different problem from moving a person. The eight-seat Toyota Voxy handles most of it in one vehicle — with sliding doors and a tall cabin, it takes a full party and their luggage without anyone travelling separately.
A vehicle and a driver for the day
Malawi rewards day trips, and most of the good ones are within reach of Blantyre. The Zomba Plateau road, Mount Mulanje and the tea estates around Thyolo, Liwonde on the Shire River, and the southern lakeshore are all comfortable outings with an early start.
A car of your own, by the month
For anyone here for weeks rather than days — consultants on assignment, expatriates between vehicles, organisations with staff in country for a season — monthly hire is the arrangement that makes sense.
Discounted rates for committed terms
Long-term leasing is for organisations that need a vehicle continuously and would rather not buy one — NGOs and projects with a defined lifespan, businesses opening an office, and anyone who wants the vehicle without the ownership.
